The Mysterious Disappearing Yarn

Well, I have managed to lose some yarn. The orange and green medley that I was working on for Tour de Fleece has disappeared! Of course, it is probably one of those situations where I put it in the car to cart it somewhere to show it to everyone, then had to put it away in a hurry when I got home. I cannot figure out where I managed to stash those balls. The bigger question is why is it not with the rest of my spinning? I got one ball plied and I'd really like to finish it. It was looking really good.

My house eats things. Stuff disappears all the time. Usually, the only way that I can find something that I am urgently looking for is to just forget about it and it will turn up when I am desperately looking for something else that I have misplaced. It is probably stashed in one of my numerous yarn tote bags that I have just overlooked, but I think I have looked in every bag, nook and cranny around here.

Where's my yarn?!?!

  1. I hope your yarn shows up soon. I know how frustrating that can be when you can't find something. You are right it is probably in on of your bags.
Did one of you cats take it?

  2. Lol! That is a possibility. Those little buggers are always into something. No, I'm pretty sure I've just stuck it away somewhere. I'd surely like to find it, though.

  3. My mom says I grew leggs and walked off, or the sock monster ate them. You could leave out a snack for the ball and It may come rolling out for it, or when you least expect it, it will appear before your eyes. I bet it is in a bag that you haven't checked. It is pretty yarn.

  4. Hi, thanks for the lovely comment on my blog. It is always nice to hear from new people. Love your blog stories and your photos. Although I am a non-knitter myself I love knitted items and am always interested in wools and things. I love the colours you have here. I hope the missing item turns up soon. Our house also eats things. I have two lovely bangles which I wear all the time but for a couple of months now they are completely missing. I have looked everywhere. I daresay one day they will turn up but I want them NOW!!! Great cats you have too. We have two little male rascals who are always up to mischief.

I was thrilled to win the scarf on Phyllis' blog and can't wait to receive it. I was amazed to win because normally I never win anything. So glad I discovered the world of blogging. Bye for now.
