Working with the iPhone app again to try to get something posted. No way to know how this will turn out.
Here are some old and new photos I thought I'd share. I tried resizing so that the photos would fit into the blog margins, but some didn't work, so click when necessary for full photo.
Top to bottom: Number 2 Son clowning in gift shop at Ruby Falls. Daughter painting in friend's workshop. Spindle and yarns. Curly locks from an angora goat. Pants in daughter's chair being mesmerized by something. Great blue heron fishing/wishing at Ditto Landing. Sunset photo taken by Number 2 Son. A bag of Pants. Rabbits a la Pink Floyd sent to me by Number 2 Son, don't know the source.

Well there is a full life in photos! But come on - the Heron one is actually a painting.
ReplyDeleteWell, RG, the heron one isn't a painting, yet, but I hope it will be in a few months. I got lucky with the camera that day, then used the Instagram app for my iPhone to fix the contrast. I was amazed at the results. I have a feeling my painting won't look as good.
ReplyDeleteYou saved the best for last! :)
ReplyDeleteBtw, you wouldn't happen to know how to spin bunneh fur into yarn, would you? My attempt at making felt out of Mick fur was a disaster, and the idea of making yarn that I could crochet into something would be awesome.
The Pink Floyd buns pic was the Grand Finale! I just wish it wasn't necessary to click on it to get the full frame.
DeleteHere's a website from the German Angora Breeders with instructions for felting shorter Angora fur. Seems it would work for regular bunneh fur, too. http://iagarb.com/felt.html
For spinning, it needs to be blended with sheep's wool so that it has some elasticity and holds together better than if 100% bun fur. I responded to Sue's question over at Clovie Boy on March 2, but it's a bit long.
Good for you for getting the app to work. The resizing looks great.
ReplyDeleteI'm still not happy with the app. It seems to have a mind of its own. The resizing only worked sporadically, but thanks for the encouragement. :-)
Deletekeep at it with the iphone app some times its great for when you want post and you see something whilst out and about,xx Speedy
ReplyDeleteThanks for the encouragement, Speedy and Mum. Sometimes the app is user-friendly; sometimes not. As it is, I make most of my photos with my iphone and don't want to take the time to upload to my non-Apple computer, so using the app for blogging would be so convenient if it was more cooperative.
Deletethat's an excellent selection of photos!
ReplyDeleteThanks. The ones of my son and daughter are among my favorites. Except for the ones of Pants.
DeleteGreat pics! All of them.
ReplyDeleteThanks. Some are oldies, but goodies. All fun.
