Still There

Progress report on the alien seed pod.

It's still hanging on. The outer shell is weathering and the interior is sinking.

I've been thinking that when I first discovered the top gone (bottom photo), it was the result of that stage of the alien landing vehicle having blasted away to return to the mother ship, leaving the spore matrix behind for colonization purposes.

  3. thanks for the update!
in that first shot it ,looks like some kind of hobbit pudding...poured into a bowl made of leaves.

no, on second thought...it looks like muck...mud...just waiting for it to start to bubble...or give off gasses...or give birth...to tiny aliens!

    happy sunday!

  4. OMG! A. Don't water it. B. Don't smoke it. C. Don't let it get above 55 degrees. D. If A or C then disregard B.

  6. It has really changed over the time I've been watching it. We had bad storms last night, so I need to go check on it.

RG and Christina: smoking it-- I think with all the spore dust that was being released into the air the day I finally got the nerve to go poking on it (previous post with "barking" video), my brain has probably already been affected.

  7. that is the oddest darn thing...

we have a fungus that is orange and looks like barf that comes around every few years...I always think a dog has gotten sick on our bark mulch until I remember that odd fungus that appears occasionally
