A New Year's Blessing

The LORD bless you and keep you!

The LORD let his face shine upon you, and be gracious to you!

The LORD look upon you kindly and give you peace!

New American Bible
Numbers 6:24-26

This was from one of the readings at Mass on New Year's Day. I wanted to pass it on.

  1. What a wonderful scripture, thanks for sharing!
Thanks, too, for your prayers, greatly appreciated!
    God Bless

  2. I would love that blessing to apply to everyone this year Melissa, especially those in peril like the Haitians.

  3. Our church has a twin parish in Leogane, Haiti. Before the earthquake, several members of our parish were scheduled to go down on Jan 25 to continue work on water systems, do some medical work, and help with various things at the parish school and church. Now the leader of the team is just looking for someone to donate the use of a large jet airplane to take food, medical supplies, and other needed items. Because of our connection to the Haitian parish, we all feel like we have had a family tragedy, but even without the connection, we all experience the tragedy because it affects our brothers and sisters in the human family. Please pray for the people of Haiti.
