They aren't great, but I had fun taking them. We were at Orange Beach, AL for a few days. No jellyfish, no seaweed, no algae. Just about right for playing in the water. I found it difficult to make good beach photos with the digital camera. The intense light made it hard to see what was in the viewing screen. The old SLR's have me spoiled. I should have taken my old Canon, but there are certainly advantages to the digital cameras. Click on the photos for larger views.
I kept trying to get photos of the gulls and terns diving for fish. This is about the best one. You can see a couple of them if you click to enlarge it.
Well, no beach pictures yet. I've been dealing with a kidney stone intermittently for some time now. It's probably what was giving me problems before I went to the beach and has definitely given me plenty of problems since I got back. Life is not fun right now, so my blogging break is longer than anticipated.
I enjoy art and like to look for it in the natural world. My craft interests include handspinning and most of the fiber arts, especially knitting, weaving, and working with paper. Other important things are my family and friends, my pets, nature, literature, poetry, music, history, birding, star gazing, museums...and the list goes on. In other times and places, I've been an archaeologist, taught anthropology, and worked in a living history museum, so I find all sorts of things to hold my interest and keep me entertained. I hope to share some of these things with you.
